This work has been inspired by the attraction that nature has on me. On the same way that some people go to the church, I go to the nature. I find a spiritual support in it. It’s where aesthetics balances cruelty. 

In the Netherlands, I was seeing the human footprint everywhere. It became a project: “tension in the daily life between man and river”. I decided to check this out in other places. Africa and nature is a logical association. Burkina Faso was a logical choice with its Mouhoun and opposite standards as the Netherlands.

In the land of the Dutch, Human is God. In the land of the Burkinabe, Nature is God.
